Poland is an increasingly important job destination for Latin Americans. 82% named Poland their first choice among European job destinations.
FOLGA published the second edition of the report „"Work in Poland. Stereotypes of Latin Americans"”, which shows how Latin American workers perceive the labor market, quality of life and the prospect of long-term stay in Poland.
The most important conclusions from the report:
- 93% respondents considers Poland to be more or similarly developed compared to Western European countries.
- 80% Latinos declares his willingness to stay in Poland permanently.
- 61% respondents believes that employers in Poland are more honest than in LATAM countries.
- The podium of positive surprises after arriving in Poland is occupied by security (38%), good infrastructure (26%) and work organization (15%).
- The percentage of people indicating lack of work in the country of origin as a reason for emigration: from 6% in 2025 to 20% in 2026.
We are strengthening our position as a European destination for economic migration for workers from LATAM (Latin America) – 82% of them indicate Poland as the first choice country for work among European countries. – This is an important signal for the Polish economy. With continuing demographic pressure and labor shortages in manufacturing, logistics, processing, and services, workers from LATAM are a significant source of stabilization in the labor supply. This is especially true given that we are not talking about a group focused solely on short-term work trips. 80% Latinos declare their willingness to stay in Poland permanently, and 93% of respondents evaluate Poland as a country similarly or more developed than the countries of Western Europe. – he comments Jakub Tomczak, Sales Director at FOLGA.
One of the most important signals in this year's survey is the change in migration motivations. The percentage of people citing lack of work in their country of origin as the reason for emigration increased from 6% in 2025 to 20% in 2026. This means that labor migration from Latin America is increasingly driven by the need for professional stability and the lack of predictable prospects in local labor markets. – The tightening of the United States’ immigration policy and the growing economic pressure in the countries of the region make Poland an increasingly important destination for workers from LATAM. – says Jakub Goliszewski, President of the Management Board of FOLGA Sp. z o. o.
At the same time, Poland competes for workers not only on wage levels but also on a comprehensive package of living conditions: safety, infrastructure, work organization, and employer reputation. For Latin American migrants, the most important factors are those that directly reduce the risk of emigration. The report security pointed out 38% respondents, good infrastructure 26%, a work organization 15%. Additionally 61% respondents believe that employers in Poland are more honest than in LATAM countries. This is an important signal for companies employing foreigners.
As Marcin Ostrowski, Director of Operations and Development at FOLGA says – In the daily work of people from LATAM, honesty and predictable work rules are very important to them. If 61% respondents consider Polish employers to be more honest than those in LATAM countries, then this trust must be maintained and good working conditions ensured. elements of the competitive advantage of Polish employers on the foreign employee market in Europe.
The report is a continuation study conducted by FOLGA in 2025. The 2026 edition expands the perspective to include new research areas: perceptions of the standard of living in Poland compared to Western Europe, positive surprises upon arrival, preferences regarding collaboration with employees, and an analysis of employment expectations. The study provides employers with the practical knowledge necessary for effective recruitment and long-term retention of employees from the LATAM region.
